TENCEL™ Lyocell is derived from sustainably harvested wood pulp, primarily from eucalyptus trees, but also beech, spruce, and pine, all sourced from certified and responsibly managed forests (FSC® and PEFC™).

Eco-Friendly Solvent: The wood pulp is dissolved using a non-toxic organic solvent, N-Methylmorpholine N-Oxide (NMMO).
Minimal Waste: Over 99% of the solvent and water used in the process are captured, recycled, and reused, significantly minimizing wastewater and emissions.
Fast and Efficient: The entire fiber production process is incredibly short, taking only a few hours from wood chip to finished fiber.
