Description
Coolpass is a high-performance, functional technical fabric primarily used in sportswear and active apparel. It is engineered specifically for superior moisture management to keep the wearer dry and comfortable.
🧵 Composition and Structure
Material: It is typically made from 100% Polyester (PES), often utilizing a high-tech or functional polyester yarn. Some variations may include a small percentage of Spandex for stretch.
Unique Fiber Shape: The core of Coolpass's performance lies in its specially engineered polyester fiber. This yarn often features a cross-shaped (+) section with inner grooves.
Moisture Wicking Mechanism: This unique cross-section and groove structure utilize capillary action (or siphon theory). The grooves increase the surface area and act as channels to rapidly pull perspiration away from the skin and move it to the outer surface of the fabric for quick evaporation.
Moisture-Wicking Excellent ability to draw sweat and moisture away from the skin. Keeps the wearer dry and reduces the risk of chafing.
Quick-Drying Moisture rapidly evaporates from the fabric's outer surface. Prevents the fabric from becoming saturated and helps regulate body temperature.
Breathability High breathability allows for excellent air circulation. Keeps the wearer cool and comfortable by promoting airflow and heat dissipation.
Texture Generally described as a soft, smooth fabric. Some variants, like Coolpass mesh, have an open-weave structure. Comfortable to wear for extended periods.
